Core cloud, pay once

The app is free and open source. Core cloud — account, sync and the like, where one server can serve thousands — is a one-time buyout. Storage-heavy services are not included and may later be sold as a subscription.

FluxDown

Free/ forever

The native desktop client for macOS, Windows and Linux — a GPU-rendered UI on a Rust engine. No account needed.

  • Every protocol: HTTP, FTP, BT, HLS, ed2k
  • Unlimited threads per task
  • Browser extension, themes and plugins
  • Local API
  • Open source under AGPL-3.0

Paid plans only cover cloud services — the FluxDown app itself is free and open source.

Compare

Free and premium download exactly the same

The differences are only services that run on our servers. Everything that runs locally stays fully free — no artificial limits, now or ever.

How pricing works

01 Account optional
Sign-in is entirely optional — every core download feature works without an account. An account only powers cloud extras.
02 One-time purchase
The buyout covers account, sync, task dispatch and similar core cloud. One server can carry thousands of users, so a one-time purchase works.
03 Add-ons sold separately
Storage and other features whose cost scales with usage are not in the buyout. If we ship them, they will be billed separately — subscription or by usage.
